Gmail & Outlook No Longer Whitelisted Due to Spam Volume Print

  • 444

Due to the overwhelming increase in spam, scams, and junk mail originating from Gmail (Google) and Outlook (Microsoft) servers, we will no longer be whitelisting these providers starting in 2025. Recent data shows that Gmail and Outlook are now ranked as the #1 and #2 sources of spam email worldwide, and allowing unrestricted mail from these servers has led to excessive scam messages infiltrating inboxes.

Effective immediately, mail transactions involving Gmail and Outlook will be subject to the same filtering and blocking measures as any other mail provider. This change is necessary to maintain a more secure email environment for all users.

We also encourage customers to keep an eye on the Top Spam Email Providers List. If a mail provider appears on this list, email from their servers will likely be limited until they resolve their ongoing mail abuse issues.

If you notice legitimate emails being affected, we recommend asking senders to use a domain-based email address and hosting service rather than those mail services. Yahoo Mail, ProtonMail, iCloud Mail (Apple) and Mail.com are some free alternatives who don't exhibit this behavior.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to enhance email security.
